At the same temple in Akita as my cat pictures from this day, @jyokota and I ran across these unique "omijuki" or fortunes, that you buy at temples. They were collapsed into what looked like a single petal, so I staged the shot to get the full bloom effect. Below the pink petals are the more traditional white paper omikuji that are tied off at the temple if the fortune is not to the receiver's liking.
