star wars inspiration?

Pretty sure George Lucas was inspired by the flight patterns of dragonflies when he came up with the x-wing fighters. Such amazing, agile fliers.

Interesting -- it looks like the x-wing fighters. Just like the huge cranes off the Georgia coast look like the creatures in Dune. Fascinating to see these parallels.
