One of my favorite things for Christmas in Germany - the warm air of the candles around turns the fan and makes the king figures go around the crib. And the glow makes the wood look so cozy and festive.
These must be a popular export because I've seen them in many places, and they always say they are from Germany. When I was a teacher of high school students, I had many students who were on one-year visits from Germany. Often they gave me a Christmas ornament at Christmas time.
@777margo Thank you, Margo! @cejaanderson I think they are popular - you can even get them year around in the touristy places. For Christmas, it all kind of come together in Germany - all the decorations and lots of folk art is made especially for this time of year. Too bad, it's starting to disappear already - just days after Christmas.
