Thank you all so much for taking time to comment on the picture of the little old building!

Vstap, Jennifer, Kwind, Gloria and Kim - those German houses with the wooden construction keep attracting me exactly because the lines are so great and strong, but we don't have any downtown here as the city is fairly new for Germany with its 300-year history - I would have to get out to the neighbouring towns to have more as a photo object. That's one of the few in the city here, and no matter how you photograph it, the lines are just at the center of the image.

Thanks again for your comments! Seeing people to stop by and leaving a comment really means a lot.

I love old buildings, living in Australia doesn't give much access to really old buildings.

I can picture the Grimm Brothers hard at work on one of their stories behind that wall. Well executed.

As everyone has said, the patterns, the textures all make this a lovely shot. I especially like when a shot is framed in such a way to make it somewhat abstract, forcing you to see the detail in a new way. And that is the case for this one. Well done.

Another one act of "catch up" for me - The peeling wall of history. Thank you all for stopping by and leaving a comment. I was actually hiding from the rain at that wall a day before the shot was taken, and in since there was nothing else to do, I started to look at it, noticing all the different layers of clay and stone, all the tones in the dark wood and the tunnels made by insect over all the years. So, the next day it didn't look so droopy and trey, I had to take a picture of it.

@kellycsva - Kelly, I am glad we have something to offer to Australians, because from looking at all of the pictures you get to see on 365, I very much envy everyone living in Australia - so many great images of beautiful landscapes, and of course the ocean! I am glad you liked something that we have and Australia not so much :)
