I go for a walk in this 300 year old tree-lined alley quite often, as this is the road to the Monrepos Palace near Ludwigsburg. I've always wanted to photograph it - gorgeous old trees, beautiful with or without leaves. But every time, I would throw away all the shots, because it was just plain boring. Today, the light was shining through the leaves - some of them fresh and new, some older and darker, and I finally got something I liked.

Thank you all so much for your wonderful comments on the Light Painting. It was a very strange day with rain, shiny light, clouds, dark sky with sudden outbursts of sunshine, which ended in a huge rainbow around the whole town. So, today's magical light helped here a lot, and I am glad I went for a walk despite of the upcoming clouds. I did get wet though on the way back, but hey! I got a picture of the favourite alley.

I am glad you liked it and I am glad it turned out the way it did, as I am noticing (with more and more leaves out) that I find it quite hard to work with green and get it right and attractive in the picture. No idea why, maybe because I am a fall/winter kind of person :)
