...especially if the kids' club at the hotel is grilling bananas on a cold rainy day around an open fire. Stuffed with white and dark chocolate chips, grilled to gooey perfection. I liked this picture much more on black.
Thank you for your continuous support, even though I am way behind on visiting others' projects and commenting myself.
The colours do indeed pop even more on black - like the way you've caught lovely contrasts of blue and orange even though the bananas are yellow and the smoke presumably white!

I was very pleased with the colors actually. Some shots were hits and some were misses, as I had my camera set on spot metering to get the bananas well exposed. I had a feeling about that banana-grilling that it could be quite fun to photograph - it was in a little wooden hut (natural glow from wood) with the open fire (glow from fire), little windows all around (natural light falling from various sides) and also an opening in the roof for the smoke (also light!). It was both dark and full of light sources, so I was happy I had my 50mm lens with me, as it can do 1.8 aperture. So, all those light/shadow/glow sources created some very fun lighting that made a winning combination - the bananas were lit from all possible sides, the smoke was coming up into the beams of light as well and the fire was glowing. Oh yes, and the bananas were yummy too. Thank you for stopping by and commenting!
Very cool idea..................love the the vivid colors!
Love to try one!!
I'm sure it would taste better than Tim Horton donuts! :) Thanks for the comment on my project.
Thank you all so much for leaving such wonderful comments as well as inquiries on how did the bananas actually taste! :) Well, for me, honestly speaking, they were a bit too sweet, as the sugar caramelises as you grill them till they are soft and mushy inside. But the kids.... well, the kids were a different story. I don't think there is something like "too sweet" for kids, their tastebuds must be different. They scooped out all the inside, liked their spoons three times and went to check whether there were more bananas to grill :)
