Why this title? Well, because this picture would not be possible if 1) no one would be holding the kids back from throwing stones into the puddle and making ripples, and 2) would not have demolished and later put back the entire construction of giant white info signs for each car and would have not taken away the stands and ribbons that separate the cars from the viewers.... :) And all of that under the watchful eyes of the security, telling them "My wife just wanted to take a picture and all that signage would totally ruin it." How did my photography survive for 3 weeks while he was out on a business trip???? I think I missed him! :)
Same place as in yesterday's photo: http://365project.org/vera365/365/2015-06-05 But today, with a giant puddle, on the cloudy evening, right after the closing time with no viewers left in the park.
Thank you so much for your comments and critique! Even if I haven't gotten around to answer/thank everyone, I am very very very much appreciate your attention, visits, comments and opinions. Thank you!
So glad you shared this on the "favorite from my project this week" thread. I hadn't seen it. AWESOME shot and big, big props to your husband for all the assistance.
Oh my! All those positive reactions to this shot just made me really blush! I was so happy that this picture got so much positive attention, and so many of you enjoyed it. It was a stunning exhibit - as usually - and I think with this picture I finally got a shot that really reflects the air of the whole event.
I also dutifully passed all the compliments and thanks to my husband, who now knows for sure, that he is a keeper! :) Thank you!!!!!!!!!
Marvellous shot - and so good to know that your husband is a keeper. That amazing building (not the schloss is it?) is such a fabulous backdrop to those stunning cars. And kind of it to rain for you ;)
Oh my, what a surprise with the TT! I didn't think normal mortals ever get there! :) All thanks to all your awesome comments and favs. Well, and the husband too :) Thank you all for your kind words, I am happy you enjoyed the picture.
Ha...yup, just regular old people get up there. Big congrats to you. And my husband is back now, too. Mike was in Europe for 2 long weeks leaving me home with 3 kids now on their summer break.
@amandal Those husbands! Mine picked the school break too to be away, but since the trip was unexpected and we had to cancel our family travel plans for that - that's why I still booked the last-minute trip to Bavaria, and use every opportunity to take pictures while kids were playing in the hotel's kids' club :) But I am glad to have him back - much more time for my hobby when he is around!!!!
@maggiemae@skipt07@sjodell Thank you so much for your comments on the car picture and for congrats. I am still in disbelief that it made it to the TT. And yes, Sarah - those were stunningly relaxed, and I am glad we caught them at the end of the event where their minds were probably already at home, having dinner with their families instead of protecting the retro beauties.
It seems husbands may have a purpose after all! ;) However, this one shot is not enough to convince I need one! ;)
I also dutifully passed all the compliments and thanks to my husband, who now knows for sure, that he is a keeper! :) Thank you!!!!!!!!!
