Cliché

I bet everyone who goes to Trafalgar Square on a rainy day will end up with the picture of wet pavement, giant lions and red busses buzzing around. So, here is mine - I know I can find tons of those on the internet, but now I have my own :)
Little kiddo got a high fever today, so we have to see what we can accomplish tomorrow.
and a great image it is!

How can you resist it though. Love those reflections and the sc is spot on

Lovely wet shot.

@carla42 It wasn't even a selective color! Just a bit of "drama" filter on Snapfish, as I am posting from my iPad. Everything was so grey and the busses just stood out!

There seem to be giant lions everywhere in the world in big cities! I wonder why or who first thought of it! Really wet scene here!

Great reflection shot.

Lovely scene Vera and I wasn't familiar with it so I'm seeing this with new eyes :) Beautiful. Here's to your little one feeling better so you can enjoy your time!

Still an excellent shot!

it's on my list for august...perhaps not the rain though...fav

Terrific :)

Lovely scene! I can never resist a concrete library lion (sans library, I'm guessing).
March 30th, 2016
Fabulous, it is so empty. Great reflections.

I don't think that many people would come away from Trafalgar Square with a shot like this! It's such a different perspective from the usual tourist view and I'm amazed how quiet it is, you usually can't see the pavement for people. Fav.

It's a fantastic photo, Vera. Hope the little one gets better soon. :-)
March 30th, 2016
Really great shot. Love your selective colour of the bus. Great reflections on the rainy ground too.
March 30th, 2016
This is a great shot Vera. I like your POV. Hope the weather is improving for you.

Fabulous with the selective coloring! Love how the color that is left pops!
March 30th, 2016
I was probably about a mile away from you when we had the rain/hail yesterday! I really like the naturally drab feel to this one.

Fav. Wonderful capture.

Great shot, and a different perspective from the normal I think. Lovely balance & composition to the shot

Might be a cliche photo opp but you did it well! I was really sorry not to be able to stop and see you last trip - but now there's another opportunity coming up! I'm train-ing from Munich to Frankfurt on April 15 -- are you around?

Wet streets - what a gift! And put to very good use in this shot.
March 30th, 2016
Beautiful wet shot of a beautiful city. Unfortunately it wasn't raining when I first went to Trafalgar square

nothing wrong with a bit of Brit Cliché

There is nothing like a red bus to brighten up a dismal wet day in London - Fabulous capture.
March 30th, 2016
Beautiful shot - so well composed with great reflections. Trafalgar Square may be a cliche photo op location. The only time I've been in London is one evening. We were on the way from Wales (choir trip) to flying home the next morning. I think Frank and I walked past or through the Square, but not long enough to say I'd been there. So it's all new and fresh to me. Go ahead and cross it off your bucket list. I'm putting it in my favorites.

There may be a few but this is a great example. What's not to like about a big red bus?! So sorry about the weather though. And the fever. On the plus side, see you later!!!
