I am a bit depressed and totally bewildered after landing in the US and moving into our next temporary accommodation till the furniture arrives. A weird world of fluffy-carpeted, air-conditioned, green-grassed, sprinkler-sprinkled, beige painted world that strikes me today as possible anywhere in the US in the same exact execution, and you would never know the difference between one city and another. Oh well, let the re-adjustment begin.....
Thanks for visiting!
Oh dear. I do hope you can settle, but I understand totally how you feel. We returned to the UK after three years living in Cyprus and thought we were going home. When we got there we discovered it wasn't and David left the RAF, joined the RAAF and we came to Australia. Best move we ever made of the 16 moves during our married life. That was 27 years ago. We are now long retired and living in paradise. There will be light at the end of the tunnel, you just have to search for it. Good luck.
But Vera, you will be fine. Because there are good things everywhere and nothing is truly permanent... You will find beauty here too, just a different kind.
Believe me it's not all beige :)...I hope you will have the time to explore the wonderful colors and flavors of different areas in the USA. Good luck :).
