USS Detroit

We spent the whole day in Detroit, eating, walking and having great time visiting friends who moved downtown not so long ago. This week, the new shiny USS Detroit is docked by the Riverfront hear the Renaissance Center in Detroit for a naming ceremony. With nice views of the Bridge to Canada.

I missed you! Nice capture...we didn't go over to the front end of the ship unfortunately...everything was pretty crowded! Got to meet a Navy veteran though so it was an awesome day anyway. This came out beautifully with the light!

@jackies365 We went for a walk on the Riverfront - this is a shot with a long lens from fairly far away - they were just putting up fences for the "open house" on Wednesday - that's where it is open for visitors. Too bad I can't make it out there on Wednesday.
