Ann Arbor went all crazy and foolish today! The annual spring FestiFools parade rocked the town and delighted audiences big and small. Volunteers get ready all year building puppets and creating costumes and get a free reign of the downtown for an afternoon of crazy fun, music, "allthingsallowed"-kind of stuff. Even the city Mayor was walking the route hand in hand with his own giant Mayor-puppet.
With so many details, best on black. My battery died right at the beginning (way to go, me!), so most of these are the cellphone shots :). Hence the collage.
Thanks for visiting!
What a great event! The community puppet making and parade aspect remind me of the May Day parade in Minneapolis put on by the In The Heart Of The Beast theatre.
