I am still going through my photos from Saturday, and this one one when I caught the bald eagle "in action" - He would fly around, and wait till the "trainers" would throw his food high in the air. Then he would speed in and catch the prey - here, a chicken. No rotation - that's how he was going in for the catch.
@amandal It was - that's why I was also so freaked when he later flew and landed next to me. I felt a bit like that poor chicken watching him coming in!
Haha this is a great shot Vera!! I did not think it was a chicken because it looks so small, which just shows you the scale of this beautiful bird!! Super timing :)
