My Get Pushed challenge from Annie Metcalfe @blueace this week was forced perspective. Here we go! I wasn't the sharpest image of the series, but it was the best expression - it's quite hard to pretend you are straining yourself if the only thing you have to do is to lay on your tummy on a loading-dock-thingy in strange positions. I didn't think I'd make it this week - but at the end I found a willing participant (Thanks, participant!)
That's a good shot, but my heart did skip a beat when I first saw it. I just read in a photography book about creating a sense of peril - which you did!
I've done a similar thing with my kids, which is the only reason I didn't immediately panic. Great, fun shot, and your participant played his part well!
Well if you hadn't explained it I would never have known it was anything but a dangerous dangling from a window ledge! Well done, both photographer and participant! PS I'm learning how to use dictation software to compensate for my lack of ability to use my hand!
Oh I am so glad you all enjoyed the image - or had some panicky reaction to it! It was really fun to make and learn how to get the angles right so it looks real after the "flip". I am happy to report that his idea of having a downtime after school today was to go and get some more funny shots done. :) I will store it for later when I need another daily shot. Thank you so much for visiting and leaving a comment!
@LaLa Oh, that is such a nice and flattering thing to say - thank you. I think this is my favourite part of being on 365 that we all are being constantly inspired by others. There is still so little I know, and it's great to get inspiration and ideas from others - this shot including. It was a learning process and I am glad we got one that worked. Thanks!
@jyokota Glad to hear that it is working out with the dictation software. If only there would also be one for picture editing: "Voice Edit - please make the sky a bit less hazy and add some color to it. Thanks. Now to the foreground...." :)
