I caught a really late showing of a film tonight. Splice was being screened and the only showing was at 11pm, so I dragged my brother along to watch it. I met him in town after he finished work about an hour before the film started, so we briefly went to see what was happening in the Old Market Square.
This is the Nottingham Riviera, a temporary seaside ensemble with fairground rides, a mini beach, a giant paddling pool and so on. I took a few pictures but most of them turned out blurry except for this one, because I didn't put the ISO up high enough on my Canon compact.
Splice, a film about genetic experimentation, wasn't the best film. It was watchable but not as intelligent as I thought it might be. Tomorrow I'm watching The A-Team, which I know will be crass popcorn entertainment and not normally my cup of tea, but I have to see it purely for nostalgic purposes. I loved The A-Team when I was a kid!
