@blueberry1222 Hi Krista!! This is in Grand-Bassam, Côte d'Ivoire (Ivory Coast), the former capital city during colonial time. The old city is UNESCO world heritage ( https://whc.unesco.org/en/list/1322/). But is not properly maintained, as all investments are made in Abidjan (40 km away), the economic capital city which is booming.
Grand-Bassam also suffered from a terrorist attack two years ago ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2016_Grand-Bassam_shootings), which doesn't help in bringing tourism and funding.
