Appoint-4-April. Grave. "Our Jimmy" the brave donkey mascot
The grave of Jimmy the donkey born on the Somme 1916 and mascot to the 1st Scottish rifles. Situated in the park near the children's play area. He gets lots of visits from the children and little posies they have picked for him.
@gigiflower@quietpurplehaze@slmaatta@april16@bjdmum Thankyou for looking and commenting very much appreciated. Jimmy's grave was restored in 2003 after falling in to disrepair. He was actually born on the battlefield the Germans stopped firing whilst he was carried to safety by a Scottish soldier .He was on active duty carrying live ammunition around the trenches and was wounded seven times.

I was just about to write the same! So I'll also say that this is a lovely idea and we saw pet graves in a row at Avebury Manor - dogs I think.
