Time is too slow for those who wait,
Too swift for those who fear,
Too long for those who grieve,
Too short for those who rejoice.
But for those who love time is Eternity.
Henry van Dyke
One of my favourite poems.
Taken through glass hence the reflections.
Great focus on the gears. Just a thought -- have you tried using a polarizing filter on your lens to reduce the amount of reflection. I'm using a Hoya circular polarizer and it does great things with water and reflections when you want a clear or deeper view.
@quietpurplehaze Thankyou so much for the Fav Hazel. I first found the poem on a scrapbook paper arranged into a whorl and instantly loved it. I have since found out that it was read out at Lady Diana's funeral.
A lucky find, Wendy. I first began to think about time when I saw Dali's painting of 'melting' watches. It's funny how something measured so finitely in seconds, minutes and hours can be perceived so variously by us. (I liked the clarity in your shot, too).
@slmaatta Thankyou Stephanie for looking at Time.I only have a small camera that will not take any attachments but I have noted your advice as I am soon to be the proud owner of an SLR. and I will certainly be buying a polarizing filter.
