@Cherrill We dug the horseshoe up the garden when we first moved in 47 years ago the background green plant is called mind your own business and the tiny blue flowers are plumbago from my garden. The horseshoe has been hanging on the shed door but has recently fallen off. Thankyou for your lovely comment Cherrill.
Well, you've made a lovely composition from it. We live in Farriers Road and each of the houses was hung with a horseshoe when they were built. Ours is still there above the garage.
Beautiful Wendy , like Arthur @wordpixman I also thought you had a patch of shamrock - but the "mind your own business" which I haven't seen any for years is a lovely vibrant green , setting off the colour and texture of the rusty horseshoe . How clever of you to include the tiny flowers to extenuate the blue tone in the rust . Hang it up again Wendy to capture any luck that will come your way ( not that I an superstitious !! )
We also found a rusty old horse shoe in the garden when we cane to this house and it has been sitting in my kitchen window flower trough , eer since !
@wendyfrost I haven't looked into that...not good seeing as I am a researcher!! But there are still forges around here and being in agricultural Suffolk I'm sure farriers were well needed.
@beryl Well they must truly be lucky to find them in the garden Beryl. The "mind your own business" takes over the garden if you are not careful but it is good at hiding eyesores it has moved into next doors garden but she likes it and says it saves her digging the garden.
