lime-mint with envy

I was having dinner with my friend Dahlia and telling her about my trip to Kohls, during which I was trying to get up the nerve to ask the girl in front of me where she got her sweatshirt, which was a particularly lovely shade of green somewhere between mint and lime, when Dahlia reached into her bag and whipped out this roll of markers to see if any of the green markers were the same shade. She knew I would be completely jealous of her markers. Neither one of us had any paper so I had to try them out on the chopstick wrapper. Now I need these. The markers led to another discussion of our favorite kinds of notebooks and how some of the notebooks are just too good to write in. I just love Dahlia . . . and if this part of the night wasn't fun enough . . . I got home in time to watch the middle to end of the live Sound of Music with Lily and She Even Let Me Sing. I love that girl. It was a good day. (The girl in the green sweatshirt turned out to be the girlfriend of Nick's former soccer coach, the sweatshirt came from J.C. Penney, and it was just a shade lighter than the 8th marker from the left. Isn't it nice when everything comes together in the end?)
