Before we left Knoxville we stopped at Union Avenue Books and. Magpies Bakery, where we had the best lemon thumbprint cookies, and the boys went to Raven Records, which Jack said was the best record shop he's ever been to. Spent the rest of the day driving . . . mostly through the Blue Ridge Mountains. We stopped at the New River Gorge Bridge Overlook, which was really fun. There is a big butterfly garden and hundreds of rosebay rhododendrons growing along the path. You can take this walkway down to the lower bridge, which is still really high up!
