The little sprinkles on the window do not accurately represent the deluge that was going on outside as "we" unloaded the car. My favorite moment occurred as I stood in the lobby, completely drenched, dripping water on the floor, holding two storage drawers, a blanket, and a ceramic dog cookie jar and my daughter wanted to know why I wasn't carrying the umbrella to keep her things dry. Oh yes it was a full day of fun. Later, after her lunch came 5 minutes after mine, and after spending an hour and a half in Target during which she lost her phone and they didn't have any hummus, and after I drove home, she sent this text. I miss her already.
@margonaut I went to Penn State and I thought the two campuses had similar feels. You are right though -- there is nothing around it. She wanted to go to a big school, but she didn't want it to be in the middle of nowhere. So she goes to a small school in a small, kind of funky town with a lot of good shopping and fun places to hang out. It's a good fit for her!
