I felt sad the privileged to be in the last concert of Tokyo Quartet (Based in New York) in southern hemisphere. They are going to disband next month as the viola player is going to retire. They are top class quartet playing with amazing color. I am going to get their CDs – Bartok to start with next week.
It is truly sad when something like that happens- I'm surprised they did not audition for a new violist. But thankfully they will continue to play on their CDs. This is a beautiful shot to capture your feelings about the event.
@olivetreeann I heard that there is another member decided to retired too. It would be so hard to regroup and reach the quality they are having now. Thank you for commenting.
