Ok, Diane Arbus said: a photograph is a secret about a secret, the more it tells you, the less you know.
So, if I distort the image to say nothing about it is just a bird sitting on a pole, I assume that you know more?
Sorry for being silly, had a busy day.
@liuting I think that I am more confused than being philosophical. Too much pressure, work is getting very demanding and I have to practice my cello. Too much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What kind of software did you use for the image on the right? It looks pretty cool. I like the silhouette of the bird. It looks a bit like an Egyptian hieroglyph.
Love your silhouette on the left! Very interesting processing on the right! As long as you know what your right hand and left hand are doing, you don't have a problem with the cello! Enjoy!
Oh sometimes I think these artists just like to say things to hear themselves talk! I hear more photographers saying that a pictures tells a story rather than a secret. But aside from that- I like both pictures. The silhouette is nice and the processing is really interesting. Good job!
They look amazing as a diptych (by the way, what does it mean - cryptic?), it seems like you show it as two dimensions of reality. In Russia there is really popular fantasy book by Sergey Lukyanenko about the layers of reality called the gloom, and there is even a a film based on the book. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Night_Watch_(Lukyanenko_novel)
It's really fascinating story and I was really impressed by it sometime. I think that this is how I imagine the gloom...
@ksyu I guess cryptic here means I am trying to make the obvious photo mysterious to confuse viewer. The fantasy sounds interesting, I need to get into it.
