Within My Comfort Zone

I always enjoy 365 Artist Challenge, but this Diane Arbus Challenge is terrifying. Diane went down to the dark world to extract its secrets; I stand behind the safe guard to try to guess.
I put the tag not for the challenge but for your convenience if you want to see some courageous 365 photographers’ works.

This is lovely, Yao! I can see the face....but gather that it is a sculpture. The DOF is wonderful! Perhaps you'd give me a bit of history to the sculpture??

I see you are protected from the world by this beautiful textured guard and I hope it keeps you safe from the horrors of the challenge! I have been trying to come up with an image to enter but am finding it hard so perhaps I can hide with you behind the guard! I love your representation of the challenge here, beautifully done.

I chose not to do this challenge as well. Photos like hers can be borderline exploitive in my mind and I am not comfortable with taking that kind of portrait to begin with. If I had thought of a beautiful alternative like this, I may have tried it. Lovely use of dof and texture to convey a feeling.
