Domesticized Brünnhilde

Here is my contribution to lyrical selfy : http://365project.org/discuss/themes-competitions/24276/5-2-for-the-love-of-selfies-lyrical
My all-time favorite is Wotan's farewell to Brünnhilde https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0FvFzWf4A48. I would love to find the recording by New Zealand bass-baritone Sir Donald McIntyre, but I cannot find a quality recording in the web.
Here is my variation of Brünnhilde acted by the gorgeous Deborah Voigt. If you google “Deborah Voigt Brünnhilde”, you should see her beautiful image with sword and shield, not sweeper and pot lid.
love what you have done with this shot - will listen to the sound when I get a moment

@kali66 I hate this photo, I look like having a moa egg in me.
This is not going to do justice to this 19 hours opera, basically, Wotan is going to leave forever of his favourite daughter, as a punishment , by putting her to sleep and whichever mortal finds her and wakes her will have her as wife. Brünnhilde accepted her fate but asked for one favour only: surround me with mortal terrors to scare off all but the bravest of heroes. Wotan granted her wish and leaving her for one who is "freer than I, the God." And kisses her into sleep.

@kali66 I don’t know how much it means to me that you take time to listen to it. The music of this opera is life changing to me and no music can be more cathartic and deep than this. Thank you hugely.

@yaorenliu the whole 19 hours might be a stretch but I will download it and listen on my mp3 player, to get in the headspace of Yao :)

This is a hoot. Didn't realize that's the alternate spelling of her name - Broomhilde
