Timber Trail by yaorenliu

Timber Trail

I went for a 2 day mountain bike ride in the Timber Trail. Full of fun but very challenging, especially the first day. I am full of bruises, one of them is size of pancake, a generous one. I am amazed that I am out in one piece despite fall off multiple times in the 45 degree bumping descending.
A good strong bike is necessary for this - did you get helicoptered to the top to go back down?

@maggiemae That is cheating. we rode up, it is very hard. I have a very nice mountain bike, with lowest gears, I still fall off and have to push up until I find a spot where I can continue to ride.

Sounds like a joy ride-- except for the bruises!

Bravo to you for your determination and accomplishment. I'm afraid I would not last very long on that kind of trip. But I'm sure you saw some beautiful sights!

Good on you - I'll bet the bruise is in a place you cannot even show off…. The bike wheels are suitably mud covered.

@dide You are quite right. It is such a glorious purple but I cannot show!

Great bike. When things gone bad I prefer to jump out and push the bike. Then i call the challenge "biathlon" ;)

@jborrases haha, I like the word Biathlon. The problem is that I jumped into the mud and slipped with the bike, that is "mudithlon".
