A sad story

Yesterday, a lady in New Zealand rushed to her work at the hospital and forgot her baby in her car..............Don't judge too soon........when she remembered, the 18 months baby died with heat exhaustion, She screamed and collapsed in pain.

Apparently, our brain is not wired perfectly and this can happen to any of us when we are under pressure. It is so heart broken, the road in front of her is going to be so hard to move.

Nice to see here, the father and baby are well protected and hydrated.
How sad. That happened to a mom here in the States recently too. I can't even imagine what guilt Mom would feel for the rest of her life.

It is actually quite amazing how the support has gathered. Initially thinking its one of our darker women who wasn't thinking, and then knowing that it is a European lady holding down a top job, one takes another think! Frankly, I could never do that!

@maggiemae We can be forgetful, people are so judgemental, especially when race is in the equation.

Cool shot, love the parallels drawn from his shirt in the context of the image. And yes, incredibly sad news.

Such a sad story. However I love your picture.

Sad indeed. It is so easy to be distracted by the pressures of work particularly for those in very demanding jobs. The woman must be totally devastated.

awww...that is too tragic...nice pic of the two!

Such a sad story, and a cool shot, it tells another story

Really sad. I work at a hospital, and just the other day I heard the screams from a mother in the ER whose baby just died (respiratory problems), and the primordial squalls coming from her were sounds that I never want to hear again. (although that is about the third time I heard those cries and they always sound the same and they are always terrible).

Tragic story. Neat b&w shot

Terribly sad. It's happened here too with children, dogs and seniors. People are now on the look out.

A good positive image to background a tragic story.

Good person shot. Yes, I have heard of this. Under stress people just forget things and don't think clearly. Many people leave babies in the driveway, or on top of the car. It happens.

It is a tragic story - we get fixated on work at times.

This is a great candid

I like the dad-boy picture on his shirt, it goes well with the image!

What a sad story. How does one ever come to terms with something like that?

One of my absolute worst nightmares. I feel so terrible for her. That's a wound that will never heal. Nice street shot.

Such sorrow- unimaginable! The picture is uplifting though- so nice to see a Dad taking the baby for a walk!

Lots of detail in this image. The light on the umbrella really becomes an interesting focal point. Another great black and white candid!

it seems to happen at least once a year... absolutely heartbreaking...

So sorry to hear about the baby. I'm sure the family is heartbroken. Your photo is a happy one, though and it is good to see a Dad taking the child for a walk.

A sad history. So sorry to hear that. I think we are living on a overhelmed world and sometimes our brain can't support the weight.
