Garden Insect Count - 7

I am very much puzzled by the look of this insect.
Another great close-up. It looks a little bit strange.

I can't help you out there - but you sure know how to find them!

Is it a NZ mayfly? They live in streams as larvae for years then finally emerge. They are an indicator of the stream health and prefer nice freshwater streams. Was it near one of these?

Or it might be a stonefly - they generally have two 'tails' and mayfly often have three.

Another fabulous insect capture! Like @boxplayer, I'm wondering if there are two (there seem to be two sets of antennae)

Looks like it has two heads and is carrying some other insect around with it. Terrific capture of the details and love the green background.
