Public space in one of the best things in this city! You can find random tables and chairs throughout the city and you can just use them for whatever.
We spent the day walking around and a
searching for different ice rinks even though we didn't go skating in the end. The one on pier 17 was the best though, it had this great view of Brooklyn bridge + the random tables and chairs :D
