I'm just back from a lovely walk on the South Downs and have been looking at my photos - most of them include barbed wire and it struck me that as harsh as it is, it is also makes for some beautiful photographs. I'd love to see some of your barbed wire shots...
I have a couple more that I'd like to post but they are not in my 365 project - can anyone tell me if thats possible?
You can become an Ace member which will allow you to have 3 albums. You can upload your pictures in one of those. It also helps with the costs to run the site.
@john244 Thank you for the info John....beautiful photo too!
@fueast - that is lovely with the frost - I have a couple of lovely shots of wire taken during the recent snow - will have to look into the ace membership
@melissapike Great shot - when you start looking around its amazing how much barbed wire is left like this - I came across a pile of wire that looked like it had just been dumped in a bush - bit of a worry when you see dogs running around.
@cooperdawg I love this - old and new wire plus a bonus nail!
@judithg They are both great Judith - I love the one with the red post box and the lovely textures in the first one - it is amazing that shots of wire can be so different!
@espyetta It can be really difficult to be inspired on a grey or foggy day - what an eye you have!
@thebluegnu I love the rusty wire against the vivid blue sky in your first shot - beautiful! The second one is an amazing close up, love the green background!
@alceyone - wow, this is lovely with the darkness - was it a night shot?
@sarahdel Hi Sarah - I managed to open your pic - great wire shot with a different take on it! If you go to your photo and see where it says 'share' on the right - if you copy and paste that link here the photo will show in the thread.
Wow I never thought about it but these are really beautiful photos of barbed wire. It never occurred to me that they could be that lovely! Great job guys. Mine aren't as focused on the barbed wire but there are buildings behind the fence that I was shooting. You can still see the fence.
@iqscotland What a beautiful shot! Love the softness of the feather against the wire and the light background.
@twinsplusone Another beautiful one with the contrast of softness against the wire
@shell808 Wow - such contrast to the two previous photos posted - showing the real harshness of barbed wire - great shot. Your second shot is interesting too - what a variety of things captured in these photos that have been caught in the wire.
@terek55 These are great too - barbed wire in place to clearly protect people from entering the buildings rather than fields!
@kellieem Great rusty wire shot, not boring at all!!
@wenbow Ahh, lovely! The cat wouldn't want to use that as a scratch post!
@taniahudson I saw this post and forgot about it so I hope I haven gone past the "expiration" date with this shot of part of a cross one of my daughters made me that hangs by our front door.
Here's mine.

@cfitzgerald Lovely Courtney - similar to my first shot with a roll of wire, makes such a nice photo.
@meisen325 Beautiful! Love the vivid green grass in this shot and the contrast in the rocks.
@beckys Love this too Becky with the softness of the leaves amongst the wire
Some inspiring photos - thanks all!
Not sure if I've done this right. Hope so.
