After a year of hanging out here and feeling welcomed by all, it is time for me to say goodbye. When I first started my project I was still stuck in 'P' mode and was scared to step out of my comfort zone and try 'M'. Now, I'm a fully functional 'M' and will never go back to 'P'. I've learned what a SOOC, DOF, and a POV is. I can say I've done water shots, paint shots, moon shots, smoke shots, splash shots, light shots, long shots, macro shots, alphabet shots, floating fruit shots, food shots, pet shots, animal shots, and much more... I even won a the 'green' theme with my Pole Dancer, and made the Top 20 with my snowflake. I have learned how to tweak my photos using Photoshop and have even created a few photo books along the way.
A year in photos and what do I have to show for it?
188 followers, 197 friends, 281 fav's, 21,201 views, and 3,327 comments. Wow pretty cool eh?
To all of my Canadian friends, please keep showing off this wonderful country we live in!
A special thanks goes out to Ross @scrivna for hosting such a wonderful site. Thank you!
I would like to thank all of you who have inspired me to learn new techniques and for helping me achieve them. I never thought I'd actually make it through to the end. There were some lulls along the way but I pushed through them and I can say that I made it! I look forward to seeing all of my followers make it to the end of their journey! It has been a lot of fun.
Sorry you're giving up, Kelly. Why not try again, ignoring all of those "set-up" shots you feel "required" to take, and all the unnecessary jargon words some folk insist you shoukd learn. . Just just take whatever YOU want to take, in whatever way pleases you, and enjoy! That woiuld make it a real pleasure, not a chore, so please think again.
@wordpixman -- I need a break from taking photos every day... instead I'm going to focus my attention on making a scrapbook with all of the photos from the past year...
Sad to see you go. Must agree with @wordpixman. Maybe after a break, you could reconsider and take things at YOUR OWN leisurely pace. Good luck on future projects and well done on this project.
Will miss you Kelly. You have inspired many people to try new things. I had success with my "light wine" which was inspired by your card photo, and one day will have a go at floating fruit! I'm sure your scrapbook will be amazing.
Good luck!
You've always been a very active member on this site + you stuck with it. Good for you...mission accomplished!
Thanks for having shared your wonderful works. All the best for you, Kelly. :)
