I would just like to say thank you to all of you 365er's who have given all of us Blipfoto refugees such a warm and friendly welcome.
I know that a lot of them came here as a plan B just in case the other site went down. However, in the light of the fact that the Polaroid crowd seem to have got their grubby paws on Blipfoto, I think that most will now be staying and implementing their plan B.
You are such a great crowd here and I for one am looking forward to being actively involved in the community spirit that I have found here. I think that many of the other refugess will echo my sentiments.
@888rachel@lauramalone82@linnypinny@hippiechick13 Thank you all. I have been made more than welcome. I just wanted to thank all you guys for making all of those coming across feel right at home here. It will take them a couple of days to find their way around a different site, but I am sure that myself and @swillinbillyflynn will be on hand to help our friends out.
@sgtpepper I think you and @swillinbillyflynn have done a great job guiding the refugees in their new home, and I look forward to all the new photos we'll be seeing :)
Welcome, I've found a few refugees already. Hope some of you stay and find this your new home. As Taffy says it's great to see new photographers joining.

@newbank Thanks. I think it was good that so many came together, it maed it feel like home from home. I am sure that they will expand their horizons and also welcome you all with open arms.
@thistle@aprilmilani@jackies365 This is why I think that you are all such a great bunch of people. This thread was really to that you all fro welcoming us so warmly, not for you to welcome us again. However, that second welcome is more than appreciated, and is all the warmer.
@quietpurplehaze I suppose that I would be closer to being in exile rather than taking refuge, as I have no intention of going back, and they couldn't pay me enough to return.
@sgtpepper@swillinbillyflynn thank you both for making us refugees feel welcome, also to the rest of u at 365!! Alot of us blippers are very upset at qhat is happening at blip as it just seemed to happen out of nowhere.

@sleepingbeauty You are all very welcome. It made sense to try and pull things together on here and link people up with each other. I must admit, I was gobsmacked at just how many Blippers have turned up. It is great to see them all again. :)

@swillinbillyflynn Like you I was truly amazed at the flood that came across. I thought maybe a few disaffected souls like us, but so many so quickly! When I went to Joe's post to leave my rant yesterday all of the "lovely hug" comments made me want to throw up, especially as the day before most wanted to lynch him.
Like you I saw all of this coming back in Jan., what I didn't expect was the result that would come from it. Ah, well, onwards and upwards with a much friendlier community here, lots of old friends alongside lots of new ones.
And yes, thank you to all at 365 Project for the warm welcome I have received and for welcoming my old friends from Blipfoto. I feel sure that both communities will benefit from the union. :)
@sgtpepper@swillinbillyflynn i cnt believe how many of us there are!! Iv made new friends i ddnt have on blip from moving over lol! I am suprised at how cross people where to suddenly being the total opposite! I am sorry that people have lost their jobs but they knew what was going on! We all had no idea and completely left in the dark which i think is wrong on many levels! I love blip but i now slso like 365 so hey ho heres to keeping old friends and making new ones :D
@swillinbillyflynn I echo that sentiment. Just as long as no one starts campaigning for an independece referendum, I've had enough of those, anyone who does is DEAD!
@sleepingbeauty Sadly, I gather that the liquidation came as a huge surprise to the staff as well as to the community. I do feel for those guys. The whole thing has been so badly managed from beginning to end. :(
@swillinbillyflynn I agree, I feel for the staff who are now seeking work after being shat on from a great height. I told Jo, when the 'partnership' was announced, that Polaroid was trying to get its grubby paws on Blipfoto for as low a price as possible - it happened. Pass the rum...
@swillinbillyflynn Aye, well according to research, the Cornish are definitely a differen race. It was in the BBC News so it must be right. Just blow up the bridges ;-)
