I posted a thread a few weeks ago about 30 Days wild (see it here ) and several people were interested in taking part (I've tagged all who responded to that thread below).
June is almost here so this is just a reminder post really and to see if there are any more takers for the wild challenge?!
I have a blog to document my 30 Days Wild where you can find some more information
This week, I've put together three blog posts each containing 30 'wild ideas' to offer a little inspiration for the challenge - I hope they will be of use to one or two of you who want to join in!
You've got some great ideas here. One thing I used to do when I was teaching was cut up paint sample charts and give each child a different shade (predominantly greens, yellows and browns depending on where we were). Then we would go outside and each child had to find something natural as close as possible in colour to their sample. We also did treasure hunts where the children looked for natural things beginning with certain letters.
@dh yes I've done that with forest school! I've done some name scavenger hunts today at wildplay - write children's name on a piece of card with a length of double sided sticky tape and they had to collect natural things beginning with each letter of the name! We had a Zoe today which was tricky - I'd have suggested considering Latin names but she was only 3!
Sadly, there is no room for 30 days wild in my current school so I won't be involving any children in it (what a shame) but that doesn't stop me going out to play ;)
I've signed up, though we'll have to see how many of the 30 days I manage - life doesn't always oblige. Thank you for alerting me to it, Louise, and for sharing your great ideas.
I've signed up and am ready to go! I wish it had already started actually, as we're seeing lots of great wild stuff in Wales this week:)
Thanks for organising it here on 365, I haven't read your ideas yet but will do when I get time.
Yes, I'm thoroughly looking forward to it! As Louise said, I'll be posting my photos on here and also blogging about it through out the month as well, you can find my blog at:
I've also put a list of ideas together (only 40 or so of them, and not illustrated, Louise - I loved that idea to illustrate your list!), some of them are similar, have a look here:
I don't know if there will be many more thread here but I'll tag you if so. I did consider maybe doing a weekly 'share you 30 days wild photo' sort of thread but I don't know yet!
@mazaz Yes, I hadn't thought of it like that, haha! I was lucky and got home just before the weather turned even wilder here - it's really stormy out there now, I think there will be some trees down overnight!
@milaniet @octoberxrose @dibzgreasley @padlock @catsmeowb
@sue_s @dh @eileenh @bulldog @thistle @sioux @sidecar @mothermalarky @razzmatazz @rachelwithey @judithjohn @cdean1956
I think I'll join a week, using one of your ideas of creating little art pieces with natural material.

Let's see how I go ... only putting up there and not here as this site is dedicated to being accountable for 365 portraits.
Great :)
