I was going to say how impossible it would be to pick a single photo when I struggle to pick a favorite out of a single week but after a moment of thought I knew what mine was.
The photo itself has a lot of personal meaning and I love how it turned out, but the 365 community contributed a lot too! I loved reading everyone's stories and how they connected with the subject or story. It was also only the 3rd time I really let myself go and write something big. I'd been feeling very self-conscious about it and was worried people would find it annoying, wasteful, etc. But the response was wonderful and it really helped me open up. I've had writer's block for many years and this kind of semi-journal/nostalgic/rambling is helping so much. Sometimes people seem to enjoy the story more than the photo! I love that :)
Hard to say, there are some technically weak ones, but I love them because they were special moments, and some are dear to my heart because they were difficult to get. But I think this one is the one that would jumpt to my mind first:
The best portrait I've ever done - my daughter-in-law and granddaughters. I usually stink at portraits, but everything fell together perfectly for this one. Luck plays a HUGE role in my photography. Ha ha ha! :)
This is my first 365 photo, and it is still my favourite. Although I have been taking pictures for years with various point-and-shoot and bridge cameras, this image celebrates day one of getting to know the camera, and hopefully learning enough to become proficient at using it. So, although this is not the greatest image, it represents the start of a new journey. :)
wish I could say I did this on purpose (I took the shot on purpose but didn't blur and overexpose on purpose) but I love that it captured Anna so purely. I also like that it looks like an old photo. I love photographing people. I wish I was better at it!
It's this one for me. A shot of my daughter walking through her Oxford college on the day she graduated. Some people thought it was set up by I just snapped her as she walked through. If I'd set it up I would have got the whole phone box in shot ;)
This is my current favourite because I firmly believe that telling the story is much more important than technical perfection, especially if it has a built-in caption.
This is from two years ago, almost to the date, and it remains one of my favorites of my photos. I think because it was an instance that could never be re-photographed.

I think this one is my favorite so far. I'm relatively new to this site so luckily not too many photos to choose from.
@juliedduncan I agree with you on the luck aspect!! I love your portrait too, everyone is in a perfect position.
