I usually like darker photos, but enjoyed trying white on white in a challenge.

I liked this shot of a dragonfly who has obviously lost his camera.

I was pleased with a number of mine from this week. This probably was my favorite as I had the camera generally focused on the flower and my lens quickly grabbed focus on the hummingbird. I wish I had taken more time to PhotoShop the bottom flower, which I have since done and created a better image.

I always feel intimidated photographing buildings but was happy with the way this turned out.

Probably the flower most 'done to death' but I love them and have found that taking the same subject over and over again you have to really think about making the image different so this image was as much about getting the background righ..blurred but not too much so, as capturing the poppy. My first time doing this weekly choice, it really makes you think about what you have posted!

I just liked the contrast. Plus it wasn't an everyday subject.

I know it's a bit cliché but this was such fun and I probably won't try it again!!

I love the detail on this bird on a wire, so happy to have spotted him watching me!

This one worked for me in lots of different ways. And it's very seasonal! A nod to a 1976 painting by the UK artist Richard Eurich.
