Like you, I don't really have any obvious gaps I need to fill in my camera bag. I was vaguely tempted to ask for one of the Kamlan f/1.1 50mm lenses - just for a laugh.

@summerfield yes... well, that's the kicker... i need time to travel... work is crazy busy, and even when i take time off, i feel guilty if i leave my husband on his own with the boys for too long...

@humphreyhippo hmm... it's a thought... i do have one of the lens baby lenses but i do not love it... possibly because it's a longer lens (an 80)...

Close up lenses are a nice thing to play with (and can easily get past 1x macro) and can be fairly cheap! :D (I have one but more is always nice)

I'm looking at the Lens Flipper and thinking about how whenever I have LensBaby or something so specialized on my camera and I suddenly want a regular lens, it's a pain to dig out the normal 50mm out of my bag.

@jyokota I really need a wider aperture for what I want. That usually means too much $$$. :( Who knows. I am looking at used, sigma, and Tamron too. I actually want to go mirrorless I think--My back is not liking all this weight!
