I entered photos in my local fair--so not exactly a huge contest, but I won two first places, five second places and one third! Seriously thrilled! And honestly, I would never had the courage or the knowledge had it not been for this forum right here. All of you are so awesome. I hope I can do the same for all the newbies as they come in, too! Some I have on here...but here are the ones that took first place! I cannot thank any of you enough, honestly.
Congratulations! Maybe I will think about entering some photos in our fair this fall... I used to enter handwork and sewing projects, but it's been years ago!

Congrats! I was going to enter our local fair but ended up being on vacation the week it was going on. I was bummed. I thought about entering the Iowa State Fair, but lack the courage (and the time). Maybe next year.

I used to enter in my county's fair but it got too expensive.
Thanks so much everyone!! I will say it's a small county but there were a lot of entrants :) I'd love to do a bigger one next time...perhaps I will. And it was free to enter so YAY me even more!!! It was a great place to start anyway!
