I don't know how wow-worthy this is for anyone else, but I was really happy to be able to do the editing that resulted in the photograph actually showing the colors and light that I saw.
There are some great photos here and I love the thread.
I must say this has me thinking... I don't publish WOW photo on here and I am not sure if I ever will as wow doesn't describe my day very well... mmmmmm
I don't think I've ever had a WOW shot, nor do I think I will ever have one. I'm my own worst critic. However, this is the first one I pulled up that I'm really happy with.
@grecican That's such a neat thing to do. great thread and sine wow worthy pictures. I don't know if I will ever get a wow worthy picture in my album. Haven't got it so far for sure. These are very inspiring though.
This might not really be "Wow" for everyone but it was for me, I was just excited to be able to shoot through the window to this old car and love the way it turned out.
The wow factor for me in this one is that fact I managed to creep up and nab the two ladies with their matching yellow shopping bags - in focus - without getting caught ;)
This was wow for me because the capture was three bracketed shots +-4EV with all three being 8 second exposures. It was so dark that I almost couldn't find the camera controls.
there are some amazingly WOW shots on this thread! I have sunset shots that make me go wow...but this one is the one that moves me each time I see it (and it is SOCO - not even a crop; oh,..and no, he is not stuffed...Skodje is very much alive)
@grecican thanks! I'll take it. ;) Im still waiting to have one like this ferris wheel 3 comments up @positronicmommy or that city scape right below my post @asrai . Where EVERYTHING comes together in the photo. Those are what wow shots are to me! But I'll never turn down a compliment so thanks one more time. LOL.
I find it difficult to say if one of my photos has a WOW! factor. But I can give you a few examples of of other's work that have a WOW! factor for me...
I don't know if I have a 'wow' shot. Or even a fave from my project so far.
But I did get a few 'wows' on this shot, and some great feedback, so I'm going to go with this:
I don't see any of my pictures as WOW worthy... but i put this one up on facebook and got a very positive response and a few WOWs... so I shall share it:
@jenp le gasp I absolutely LOVE it!! @asrai I dunno, that looks like it belongs painted on a ceiling somewhere ;) @aspada wait just a second. I want to know how @janmaki that jet was taken... @egad FREAKIN LOVE your cardinal @samdan breathtaking swan.. actually so far everyone has a le gasp image... and me, I have photographers block.
Mine from earlier this week. Fan of light flares/beams from sun also reflected in a pool to create an almost fan like flare. Taken with Olympus PEN with vintage Leitz Elmar 90mm lens and polarizing filter (not edited)
been kind of slacking on 365 not out of any lack of want too just so caught up with my busy life so in a lot of ways I am thinking of photography 24/7 and at the same time sort of depressed at not being able too...so a lot of the melancholy shows in my work...I just went out today to force myself to find a photo and this is it
@cromwell LOL!! I felt the same way!!! On the page with the photo you want to copy, there's a link on the right to copy. copy that and paste in the discussion! Took me a few tries yesterday to figure it out! Good Luck!!
@cromwell beside the picture, part way down the page on the right, there's a link it starts with "< a ...." and hopefully that will work - copy and paste it in here
I've only just joined the 365 Project thirteen days ago, so I haven't clicked that "WOW!" photo as yet. With 300+ days ahead of me I'm hoping to get at least ONE of those eventually.
Out of the few I've taken thus far, this is the one I'm most fond of. Not even close to being a "knock your socks off" photo, but it's the one I look at with the most satisfaction.
@harsha This is beautiful. @rmkk Simply gorgeous. @ariananeala I think its fantastic. @kbradbury Very cool!!
I'll have to look and see what the closest to a wow shot is for me..!
Not sure if it's okay to post one from my Year 1 project, but I actually think it's the only "wow" photo I have on 365... We actually watched this dog catch the fish!
This is my wow photo (taken on Monday this week). Before starting the 365 Project I would never have thought I would be able to capture something like this.
Some really amazing shots! I think this one has to be my WOW shot...completely unplanned and I'm so amazed at the response it received on my 2nd day of 365!
I'm only 14 photos in... So not much to choose from! I know it isn't the most interesting of photos but I love the colour of the water and the shape I managed to capture! I know there are a multitude of impressive water photos on this site , but I am still proud of this one!
What a great thread... there are so many WOW shots! I don't know that mine is the caliber of some of these, but the scene I was standing before sure made me go 'WOW' when I took the shot. I love when the 'right place/ right time' happens to me. This one is from yesterday morning :o)
@thebluegnu Love that shot, but what would make it extra wow for me would be if it were in B&W with the yellow bags selectively coloured (I wouldn't be able to to that myself, but I think it would look great! :-)
@jenirainbow You have a point ;) To be honest, I haven't yet mastered the art of selective editing - I'll get there eventually. Thanks for stopping by my pic!
THIS IS NOT MINE - it's by Michelle Blackford @tryeveryday - a new 365er with very few followers. This just knocked me out and brought a definite WOW! So, check her out:
I have to say this one if I had to only pic one! I have a few more. Like the one I took yesterday but this HDR one of the sunset it my fav WOW landscape pic.
@jml0306 This is a wonderful subject. I can't believe how many astounding photographers there are on this site. I have no WOW photos but some people appreciated this. I was shocked by the fact that I took it with my android because I never know what I'm taking on it! Then yesterday, someone pointed out the reflection on my car but it's kind of cool. I didn't even notice it. Enough explanations.
@reba I can't believe you took the time to post my photograph here!! That was such a thoughtful thing to do. Please know that it was greatly appreciated. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!
@annamaker Thank you Anna mae! i thought the same thing myself when i shot it ( looks like a drawing) and was thankful i didnt have to process it,,if you take a look at my project post for yesterday you will see what it looks like with out the snow!! Thanks again!
It was hard to choose but I think I found my WOW photo - This one was my very first photo that made the pop page - Out of all the comments - 15 people said "WOW"!
I must say this has me thinking... I don't publish WOW photo on here and I am not sure if I ever will as wow doesn't describe my day very well... mmmmmm
It's a tough call, but I actually think my photo from yesterday is my biggest Wow!

How does one post a photo in the discussion thread? It is a puzzlement.
However, this is the one I've gotten the most WOW comments from the 365 community:

i was so surprised to see that i'd actually taken this :)
I'll have to look and see what the closest to a wow shot is for me..!
Hard for me to pick one from New Zealand - the most beautiful place on earth!
And another for this one:
I don't get it personally but I got lots of WOW's from followers when I posted this!!
My WOW photo :)
My 365th photo..I went wow as I had actually made it to the end of year 1!!
It isn't as good as all of yours, but I like it[:
..and from someone else's @pwallis
@tabbycat Wow!!! Thanks Tab! I am honoured to have wowed you:)
and this one:
One of my favourites from last year
My Tiger :)
Not sure if the photo is a WOW. But that is what I said when I found this place while taking a walk around Hamilton.
This is my favourite capture of mine so far since I have started the 365 project :) what do you guys and girls think?
I couldn't decide between these photos!
