Street Photography Now- Week 6- VOTE!

Thanks so much for voting for Street Challenge 5. I was surprised and honoured to win this time as the other 4 photos were so wonderful and well shot. Once I stopped grinning about one of my photos having won something, I moved onto the hard part: selecting 5 photos as finalists for the Week 6 Challenge.

This week's challenge was " Never overlook a cliche" originally set by Atrem Zhitenev.

Congratulations on all the amazing shots entered here. I found it incredibly difficult to choose only 5 out of the 30 entries. I enjoyed looking through and was quite blown away by the creativity and observation represented in these images. Some cliches are universal to street photography and some are subjective to different contexts. Those three little words 'never', 'overlook' and 'cliche' could be read in so many ways! What is a cliche in one setting may be rare and unexpected somewhere else, and vice versa. As Jason said, it was the photographer's interpretation of the challenge. I selected photos that stood out for me visually and that I felt told a story.
