Remember to tag your Film February shots with "filmfebruary13"

@grizzlysghost Aaron are there 2 film threads? started by 2 different people?
January 31st, 2013
@sunshinephoto5 Not that I'm aware of. I don't see it being an issue though :)
January 31st, 2013
@sunshinephoto5 Dawn, the first link is this year's (also in my intro to this thread), and the second link is the one from last year (all responses in there are a year old except for yours and @jayholm64 's).

So, the original 2013 thread; to the best of my knowledge; is the only one. And, most of the people in the old thread are no longer participating in 365. So I think we're good to go.

Great february all! This will be fun.
January 31st, 2013
OK---one question...I read thru the original post...are we supposed to put our digi cams away for the month? Because I thought I might use one folder for digital so that I am still posting everyday. Or not...I don't know. Seems weird to drop digital altogether...but I will do it if I need to. :-)
January 31st, 2013
I might do a week, if I'm allowed, not being tagged and all :P
January 31st, 2013
@jase_h I just wasn't sure which of your half-dozen accounts to tag Jase. :P

@5unflow3r I plan on using my third album for film feb. My other two albums are for whatever (#myprojectmyrules) LOL

Go for it guys... got to tell you, at school the kids were listening to a sort of audible guessing game on tape... they recognised the phone, the dog, the guitar, but not one of them recognised the camera going click and winding on.... I tried to explain it and from their faces I'm pretty sure they think I am prehistoric. Let's have some more of those clicky film cameras in circulation!
January 31st, 2013
Quite possibly, the best reply, I have ever had :D

@grizzlysghost
January 31st, 2013
@grizzlysghost I pretty much thought so. I mean if 12 of us do the film challenge and our accounts lie dormant while we wait to get thru a roll, that would be weird. Right? And everyone would miss us... :-)
January 31st, 2013
I'm starting with my Holga. I'm waiting for my battery and seal replacement kit for my AE-1. To start the month off I'm going to go ahead and send a roll of film off and see what's on it so I have postings early on in the month.
January 31st, 2013
@grizzlysghost Are we using the ff13 tag now, or the longwinded one?

@5unflow3r I for one have no intention of ditching digital entirely for the month.
January 31st, 2013
FF13 sounds perfect to me!
January 31st, 2013
@automaticslim I prefer FF13, but it was @eudora 's original post and she mentioned filmfebruary13, so it's her call :)
January 31st, 2013
@grizzlysghost Both then. :-)
January 31st, 2013
@automaticslim I'm doing both :)
January 31st, 2013
@automaticslim Me neither. I was just asking if it was mentioned somewhere and I missed it. As always, the rule here basically is that there are no rules. But then sometimes there are. I just want to play nice. :-) I am doing both as well
January 31st, 2013
@5unflow3r Well it's not a competitive challenge, after all ... :-)
February 1st, 2013
Aaron, I am in until the 19th when I hit the skies for Argentina until the first week of March, I will then be showing off what I anticipate to be rock my world from Tierra del Fuego photos. Now I just have to figure out how to get the negative scanner to make positives from color film. @grizzlysghost
February 1st, 2013
Thanks Aaron, looking forward to it
February 1st, 2013
Looking forward to it.
February 1st, 2013
I will try to get a week's worth in. I know I have film in my 35mm- but I can't remember what's on there! I'll try to finish that up and do one more roll.
February 1st, 2013
Okay, I have never shot film, but I do have a camera I had to buy for my daughter's film class lying around. Maybe I should give it a whirl.
February 1st, 2013
Sorry for the mixup about 2 threads. Let's use the shorter tag FF13, since more people prefer it. @5unflow3r No, you don't have to put away your digital camera! Just tag your film photos. Ace members can have one album for film, another digital. The only trouble with that idea is I seem to be carrying around more and more cameras!
February 1st, 2013
@grizzlysghost @eudora @lisabell @olivetreeann @aprilmilani @ingrid2101 @phillyphotos @automaticslim @5unflow3r @automaticslim @sunshinephoto5 @geniabeana @jase_h @filsie65 @jase_h @chewyteeth @vase @cmc1200 @la_photographic

Hooray it's film February today. I think I must have posted at least a year ie 365 film photos in the last 12 months. @phillyphotos so jealous. I hope you are going to Torres del Paine
February 1st, 2013
@grizzlysghost Aaron, I'm in. The old Pentax will shine gloriously. Question though. Is there a way in the info section to place what camera you used? Exif info? I've always just placed the info in the comments section of the photo, but wondered if there's an actual way?
Second...do Polaroids count as film?
February 1st, 2013
@losthorizon I've heard there are programs that allow you to change exif, but don't know anything about them. I also just put the camera info in the description. And absolutely Polaroids are film! :)
February 1st, 2013
@grizzlysghost Alright thanks
February 1st, 2013
Sounds Great! I won't be posting everyday but will try and keep up :) I've missed my Pentax!
February 2nd, 2013
So I am curious do you tweak your scanned film? my 1st roll is crazy green,(expired bw400cn) or on the pinkish side. weird that it is both. I am having a hard time not enhancing it in PS. curious as to what you film masters like to do.
February 2nd, 2013
@sunshinephoto5 I tweak most of my images.
February 2nd, 2013
@peterdegraaff @grizzlysghost

I'm back, temporarily, how could I miss FF? when I have more time I'm gonna take photos of my cameras and upload them like Aaron does, I've always been jealous of that!!!
February 2nd, 2013
@chewyteeth Haha, rightly so Dave LOL ;)
February 2nd, 2013
@chewyteeth @grizzlysghost yeah. Aaron is totally empirical and has set aside a whole section from the past.
February 2nd, 2013
@sunshinephoto5 Of course it is ok to colour correct and to remove dust and scratches. I also sharpen my images a bit because scanning of its nature will mask the edges. Adding structure will often make the photo grainy, as will other forms of editing. In the end it is your photo and up to you.
