thank you for your voting for my "strong patterns" photograph; you're all very kind. thank you, too, michelle @psychegrrrl for hosting the last get-pushed challenge.
and so now i have this nagging headache from choosing the best five from last week's entries.
1. @JulieCo was challenged to shoot "an image on the theme of 'celebrate'." good thing she and her husband were actually celebrating their 40th anniversary and presented us with this excellent composition:
2. @francoise was challenged "to shoot from higher up" as high as she could reasonably (and safely) get; she did and got this beautiful sun-drenched shot of an empty reading room from the third floor of a library:
3. @vera365 was challenged to do a forced perspective photo and came upon this lady "standing" on a pumpkin:
4. @joansmor was challenged to "recreate or take an iconic photograph" and responded with this photograph of this romantic Maine lighthouse:
5. @snippet was challenged to "post a vintage photograph" and came up with this dreamy view with a time-travel feel (at least to me):
6. @northy was challenged to use the lines of the nursery rhyme "row your boat" for inspiration and aced it with this shot:
hah! so i lied, there are 6 to choose from. congratulations to the final six.
and there you have it, good people, 50 photographs whittled down to six for your voting pleasure.
voting starts now until Sunday, September 20, 2015 at 8:00 p.m. EST (New York) after which i shall post the name of the next lucky person to choose the next get-pushed finalists.
They're all wonderful, but I have to go with my partner's great use of POV and light.
