No, not at all, it’s perfectly understandable - it’s a hectic time of the year. I think many people didn’t have much time left in their day to fully participate in all the challenges they normally do, anyway.

It is always better to include a @name in the comment box rather than just in the discussion board so that the winner does get the notification. They do not get sent a notification if their name is just in the discussion portion of the thread.
