Yesterday, I was all excited to photograph the brand new fig leaves in the morning sun...except we didn't have any sun. Today we did, but the leaves doubled in size! So here is a not quite so new fig leaf. I think leaves are beautiful; the shapes, sizes, colors, details within them create a depth of beauty that changes throughout the seasons. I like the little fuzzy edges on the fig leaf and its vibrant color against the shadows of the olive trees behind it. In a few weeks, tiny spiders will be building webs in the holes in the leaves, giving me another photo opportunity.
@30pics4jackiesdiamond Thank you! I have been watching the three in the orchard. One has leaves that are small and growing slowly and the other two are leafing out like gangbusters. The fruit always seems to be the same each year, so I don't know why it seems more slow to leaf out.
