Duchess of Sutherland

The 'Duchess of Sutherland' locomotive was due to arrive in York 10 minutes before the 'Royal Scot', shown in the post yesterday, but it was running rather late.

I had found a good position for a shot of the 'Duchess of Sutherland' as it was due to enter platform 5. Sadly, there was a last minute change to its arrival platform, and there wasn't time to get across the station to get photos of its arrival at platform 10, so I only got shots of it stood in the platform. I rather liked this shot of it shrouded in steam at the end of a long journey.

'Duchess of Sutherland' is a regular visitor to York, although it hasn't featured in our project since February 2020 - https://365project.org/fishers/365/2020-02-18 and https://365project.org/fishers/365/2020-02-19 It's history was outlined in the first of those posts.
