243 - So after yesterday evening at the railway museum to see their Illuminating York event, I felt it well worth the effort to go again tonight - and so did huge numbers of others too!
Earlier today I had a good look at the camera manual, to see how best to improve these night shots. Sadly, a bridge camera isn't an ideal tool for this kind of work, but I feel I have made some progress since yesterday's efforts.
Here we have locomotive 'Bahamas' facing towards the turntable, with both the exterior and cab illuminated.
Thank you Sara - the lighting competition creates some really nice effects - all I have to do is point the camera!
It's certainly a bit eerie in places!
Thank you Junan - there were some nice lighting effects to capture!
Thank you Caren - the lighting competition created some nice effects!
Thank you Bobbyj - just wait until you see the size of the locomotive in the next shot!
Thank you Brian, and thank you for the fav! It is a very graceful machine, especially when seen working!
Thank you Netkonnexion, the lighting competition gives some great effects to capture!
Thank you Bill - it's an interesting change to visit the museum at night!
Thank you Livia - the lighting competition creates some nice effects to capture!
Thank you Helen - I've a lot left to learn, and that's a significant part of what 365 is about for me!
Thank you Ladyjane - this was certainly a popular exhibit with the photographers there!
Thank you Pyrrhula, glad you like it!
Thank you Brian - I think I've made a bit of progress here, Just a shame I can't upgrade to a decent DSLR to make even more progress!
Thank you Ann - I'm looking forward to taking my grandson there when I have chance!
Thank you Kd - those wheels almost glow don't they?
