There Was No Saying No (for the nf-sooc-2015 challenge)
So, what do I do when the caterpillar I’m aiming to photograph wanders out of sight beneath the sage leaf? I remind myself of the virtue of patience and take a walk around the garden to enjoy the view and wait for it to re-emerge. The thing is, the caterpillar lost out; because this rain-kissed cluster of cherry tomatoes just screamed to be photographed, and there was no saying no.
I challenged myself to capture this scene using my 35mm prime lens (the equivalent of a 50mm lens on my Nikon D7100) with no editing, so this image is posted exactly as it came out of the camera. You can read about the fun nf-sooc-2015 challenge here:
I think this is very well done Janet - and the bonus is, the next time you shoot something like this, you'll think twice about the framing before you click the shutter.
This is terrific, Janet - beautifully composed, spot-on focus on those drenched cherry tomatoes, and super lighting. Who needs editing - certainly not you! Fav
@milaniet Thank you, Milanie, for your very generous comment and your fav! I appreciate both so much! We still have dozens of tomatoes on the vine...they don't seem to know that the season is winding down!
