I’m thankful for the gift of blue hour. We woke to the most magical shade of blue! After a few moments of admiration, I grabbed the camera and dashed to the upper porch as fast as my aching Achilles would take me. No tripod meant elbows on the railing and held breath, while the rapidly changing light put the pressure on. I managed to get just 6 shots before it was all a fabulous memory. Other than the addition of my watermark, this image is SOOC. I’m thrilled and thankful to have this remembrance of the incredible gift of beautiful blue hour viewed from our upper porch. All is amazing grace.
I’m dedicating November to giving thanks! For years, I’ve kept a gratitude journal in which I jot down things that I’m thankful for. During this month when we’ll celebrate the Thanksgiving holiday, I’m going to take my gratitude for God’s good gifts one step further by photographing a particularly meaningful gift each day for my 365 project! I've always viewed the subjects of my images as gifts, but I'm looking forward to this month of intentionally labeling them as such. This will enable me to spend a bit more time dwelling on God's goodness and offering the thanks that He deserves. If anyone would like to join me in this celebration of grace, please do! I’ll be tagging my images: all-is-grace.
This is really impressive hand holding at that slow speed - I'm up and out at that time every day waiting for it to get lighter - may have to try finding some place where I can prop my arms and try an early sky shot. I'm thankful for friends like you who openly help me learn new things to try! Beautiful shot.
@milaniet Thank you so much for your kind comment, Milanie! How wonderful that you're up and out early each day! Blue hour is quite magical, and the intensity of this one really struck me. Have fun in your attempt to capture one handheld. I know you'll accomplish your goal beautifully, and I look forward to seeing the result!
@dsp2 Thank you so, so much! I really appreciate your kind comments on my project, and it makes me happy to know that you're enjoying my series. All is, indeed, grace.
