I’ve tended houseplants for nearly 40 years, ever since that small hut in the middle of the mall with all its slotted wood shelves and bright lights and variety of green drew teenage me right in. Peperomia was my first. I remember its waxy leaves and its cheerful spot on the kitchen windowsill next to my Mom’s line-up of knick-knacks. It thrived, and so began my love affair with plants. I enjoyed tending this Arrowhead Plant along with my other houseplants today while fondly recalling Peperomia.
Love the focus and dof here - the soft greens are so pretty. It is neat how you can relate to a plant - I'm not usually too successful with keeping them alive, but I did manage one (can't remember what it was called - fairly common) for over 10 years at school. I was so proud of myself.
Wonderful shot, love the dof. I have also loved tending to plants over the years. I spent some time taking pictures of my jade today, so funny we both took pictures of plants.
@kategoring What a coincidence we both photographed our plants! I so enjoy watering and trimming them. I moved some over the holidays to make room for poinsettias, and now I'm moving them back. I appreciate you taking the time to comment. :-)
