When I enter the Grasslands exhibit at the National Aviary, I’m all ears. From flutter of wings to melodic songs, pleasant sounds abound. Green Singing Finches, often the songsters, delight with their whistling voices and vibrant yellow plumage. Sky blue walls provide a peaceful, relaxing environment in this room; and I thoroughly enjoyed spending a few minutes on Saturday watching this handsome male watch visitors come and go from his perch near the door.
