Today was the day! We set off on our first camping adventure with The Dreamcatcher, and we arrived safe and sound and excited to set up our first campsite! I thought long and hard about bringing my Nikon and decided against it in favor of immersing myself in the experience but gave in and made a few pictures throughout the weekend with my iPhone. I'm sure glad I did because looking through the pictures now brings back the joy of the five fabulous days we spent surrounded by the glory of spring in the forest. A few hours after arriving, the two of us relaxed by the campfire and eagerly anticipated John, Nirali, Jim and Connie's arrival the next day.
Six months ago, we didn't know a thing about owning a camper. We didn't know the immense amount of work and learning it would take to prepare our home away from home — and the fun we'd have throughout the process! What we did know was that God led us to this adventure, and He would see us through. Tonight, we fell asleep with thankful hearts and a sense of being right where we were meant to be. Thanks be to God!
I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye on you.
